You’ll have to click on that to read it at full size. It’s from the Wikipedia page for the song “Hang On Sloopy.” I was looking the song up because it was the last thing in my iTunes library under “Unknown Artist,” and I wanted to fix that.

What gets me is that chronology box. Imagine a populace’s tastes going from the anger of “Eve of Destruction” to the silliness of “Hang On Sloopy” to the melancholy of “Yesterday” in the space of three weeks. 1965 was a weeeeeird year.
