Either my neighbors, whose every screaming word I can hear (especially every fourth one, which is “fuckin’”) need to shut up, or the male neighbor needs to finally break down and HIT the female neighbor so I can call 911. This stalemate has been going on for months.

A third possibility, of course, would be that they’d simply move away. Maybe a nice, quiet, childless Asian couple could live there.

I really wonder if I should have told the investigator about these screaming incidents. I feel kind of guilty that I didn’t—guilt by omission. He couldn’t have done anything about it, and I kind of doubt screaming obscenities at your wife (daughter? stepdaughter? I’m never sure who “Dominique” is) cancels your security clearance, but I keep wanting someone to know.

Thank god she gives it right back. I couldn’t take it if I had to listen to her whimper and cry.

I don’t really want him to hit her.
